Regular enrichment is part of the standard curriculum at La Casa Montessori
Ask any La Casa Montessori student what they loved about their school day, and they’ll tell you about their music, art, and yoga classes!
Enrichment classes bring joy and new explorations
La Casa Montessori includes music and art for all ages! And yoga for the older students. The classes meet once and sometimes twice per week, led by specialized teachers who come in for this purpose.
Whereas some schools require additional payment for these types of classes, at La Casa Montessori, they are included in the tuition.
Music: Students are exposed to music from around the world, playing instruments and singing songs in Spanish and English. Each classroom works on specific songs to be performed at our winter and spring performances.
Art: Every class works on a wide variety of art media, from painting and drawing to pottery and collages.
Yoga: Available for the older kids, yoga is a great way to learn about mindfulness and become centered in the middle of a busy school day. It’s also an excellent way to stretch and introduce movement, particularly on stormy or extra-cold days when the kids are forced to stay inside.
